Glazed Smokie Links or Meatballs

16 ounces           Old Havana Chili Cubano   (or 12 oz Zesty Hot Cooking Sauce)
½ cup                Kentucky Bourbon (optional)
1 cup                 Apricot preserves
2 packages         Smokie Links (12 to 14 oz each)
1½  pounds         Fully cooked (or homemade) meatballs


  1. Combine Old Havana Chili Cubano, or Zesty Hot Cooking Sauce (for a spicy version)  Kentucky Bourbon (optional), apricot preserves and smokie links (or meatballs) in a medium stockpot over medium heat.
  2. Bring to simmer, reduce heat to low and cook uncovered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until sauce thickens and becomes glossy. Stir occasionally.  In slow cooker: cook uncovered on high setting for 3 to 4 hours, or until sauce thickens and becomes glossy. Stir occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat.  Serve with sauce on the side.

Serves 8 to 10 as an appetizer.
